Deepak Tijori (दीपक तिजोरी) is an Indian actor and director born on 7 September 1966 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He attended school in Mumbai and trained in acting before entering Bollywood. He is married to Shivani Shere and they have a daughter, Dhara Tijori. He made his acting debut with a small role in Trinetra (1991) and had a breakout year in 1990–1992 with prominent supporting roles in three beloved films: Aashiqui (1990, as Deepak/Raja, the best friend of Rahul Roy's character — the film whose cast was also the source of his Bigg Boss co-contestant Rahul Roy), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992, as the relatable protagonist Shekhar who falls for Pooja — opposite Aamir Khan and Ayesha Jhulka), and Khiladi (1992). He further appeared in films including Khuddar (1994), Anjaam (1994, as the antagonist opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit), Karan Arjun (1995), and dozens of others across the 1990s and 2000s. He later turned director with Oops! (2003), which remains a cult classic for its bold content, and directed Tom, Dick and Harry (2006). He appeared with Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal on The Kapil Sharma Show in February 2020 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Aashiqui. In November 2006, he entered Bigg Boss Season 1 on Sony TV as the show's first-ever wildcard contestant (Week 2), replacing the ejected Salil Ankola. He was evicted in Week 7, finishing tenth overall.
