Amit Sadh (अमित साध) is an Indian actor born on 5 June 1979 in Delhi, India. His father Ram Chandra Dogra was a national-level hockey player who passed away when Amit was 16 years old. He completed his graduation from La Martiniere College, Lucknow — an elite colonial-era institution — and later trained at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City (2010). He moved to Mumbai at age 21 to pursue acting. He made his television debut in the teen drama Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr (Star Plus, 2002) as Aditya, and subsequently appeared in serials including Kohinoor, Durgesh Nandinii (Sony TV, as Kshitij, a lawyer), and others. He participated in the reality shows Nach Baliye Season 1 (2005) and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, and entered Bigg Boss Hindi Season 1 in November 2006, finishing fifth. His film debut came with Phoonk 2 (2010), followed by Maximum (2012). He shot to wide attention with Omi Shastri in Abhishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che! (2013), and built an impressive filmography with Guddu Rangeela (2015), Running Shaadi (2017), Sarkar 3 (2017), Sultan (2016, with Salman Khan), Gold (2018, with Akshay Kumar), and Super 30 (2019). His biggest OTT breakthrough was the Amazon Prime Video series Breathe (2018) and Breathe: Into the Shadows (2020, winning the Filmfare OTT Best Supporting Actor Award). He also starred in Avrodh: The Siege Within (SonyLIV, 2020) as Major Videep Singh and Jeet Ki Zid (Zee5, 2021) based on Major Deependra Singh Sengar. He is known for his exceptional fitness and mental health advocacy.
