Bio
Devender Singh, popularly known as 'Bunty Chor' (also spelled Davender Singh or Inder Singh), is a Delhi-based criminal who became famous as a notorious serial thief who featured on the Delhi Police's most-wanted list. His story was the real-life inspiration for Dibakar Banerjee's acclaimed 2008 Hindi film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, in which actor Abhay Deol played the protagonist modelled on his life — a lovable rogue who repeatedly evades the police across Delhi. He entered Bigg Boss 4 on 3 October 2010 as one of the original 14 housemates — in one of the most unusual casting choices in the show's history, placing an active criminal figure in a celebrity reality show. However, he was immediately ejected on Day 1 after physically assaulting a fellow housemate inside the house, making him the shortest-staying contestant in the season. He finished last overall in 16th place.
