Digangana Suryavanshi (दिगांगना सूर्यवंशी) is an Indian actress and author born on 15 October 1997 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to Neeraj Suryavanshi and Sarita Suryavanshi. She is their only child. She completed her 12th board exams from Mithibai College, Mumbai — appearing for them during the very shoot of Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera. She made her television debut at age five in Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat (Sony TV, 2002) and appeared as a child in Krisshna Arjun (Star Plus, 2005), Shakuntala (2009), Balika Vadhu (Colors, 2011), Ruk Jaana Nahin (Star Plus, 2011), and Qubool Hai (Zee TV, 2012). Her career-defining role came in 2013 when she was cast as the protagonist Veera Kaur Baldev Singh in Ek Veer Ki Ardaas...Veera (Star Plus, 2013–2015) — a role she played until the show ended, earning the Lions Platinum Star Award for Best Lead Actress. At 18, she became one of Hindi television's most decorated young stars. In cinema, she made her Bollywood debut in FryDay (2018, opposite Govinda and Abhay Deol), followed by Jalebi (2018) and Tamil-Telugu bilingual Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale (2019). Her Telugu film debut was Hippi (2019, with Kartikeya Gummakonda and Digangana). She also appeared in Valayam (2020), Seetimarr (2021), and The Battle of Bhima Koregaon (2021). She has authored a published book. In October 2015, she entered Bigg Boss 9 (Double Trouble) and was evicted on Day 56 (Week 8), finishing twelfth overall.
