Gauahar Zafar Khan is an Indian actress and model born on 23 August 1983 in Pune, Maharashtra, into a Muslim family. She is the youngest of five siblings, and her sister Nigaar Khan is also an actress. She completed her schooling at Mount Carmel Convent School, Pune. She began her career as a model and in 2002 participated in the Femina Miss India contest, where she came fourth and won the Miss Talented title, subsequently representing India at Miss International 2002. She made her acting debut with a small role in Miss India: The Mystery before gaining wider visibility through the popular song Hawa Mein Udati Jaaye (Bombay Vikings). She made her Bollywood debut as an actress in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009) and went on to appear in Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Ishaqzaade, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and the web series Tandav. She was a contestant on dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 in 2009. In 2013, she entered Bigg Boss Season 7 and emerged as the winner on 28 December 2013. She returned to Bigg Boss as a Senior in Season 14. She married singer-choreographer Zaid Darbar in December 2020 and they have a child together.
