Jayalakshmi (also credited as Nurse Jayalakshmi) is an Indian nurse and actress from Bengaluru, Karnataka. At the time of entering Bigg Boss Kannada Season 1, she was a practising nurse - making her one of the most unusual and relatable contestants in the show's inaugural cast, and representing a non-entertainment professional in a largely industry-dominated line-up. In March 2013, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 1 on ETV Kannada as one of the original contestants. She was the first contestant to be eliminated from the season, evicted in Week 1 (Day 6). However, Bigg Boss gave her the opportunity to re-enter the house, and she returned on Day 27 - competing for a further three weeks before being eliminated a second time on Day 48. She finished ninth overall.
