Jeffry (known as Gana Jeffry or Jeffrey Gana) is a Tamil Gaana singer, lyricist, and performer born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (approximate birth year: 2002). He grew up in modest circumstances and developed his passion for Gaana music — the traditional Chennai street-music folk genre — from childhood, learning informally by listening to and singing along with local performers during walks to the Velankanni Church with friends. Before entering entertainment, he worked in logistics. His breakthrough came when a video of his Gaana performance went viral on Instagram, drawing widespread attention. He began writing and singing original Gaana compositions that blended traditional themes with a contemporary sensibility. A football enthusiast and admirer of Cristiano Ronaldo, he has won local football championships. In October 2024, he entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 as one of the original 18 contestants — carrying forward the show's tradition of including a Gaana singer each season (following Gana Isaivani and Gana Bala in previous seasons). He won the 'Doll House' task in Week 8, earning immunity. He was evicted in Week 12 (Day 82), finishing 12th overall.
