Kani Thiru, born Karthika Agathiyan on 7 May 1994 in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, is a Tamil actress, television anchor, and YouTuber. She is the eldest daughter of National Award-winning Tamil film director Agathiyan, known for the acclaimed film Kadhal Kottai. Her sisters Vijayalakshmi Feroz and Niranjani Ahathian are also actresses. Kani began her television journey as the host of Sol Vilaiyattu on Makkal TV from 2008 to 2011. After a break from television, she gained widespread recognition by winning Cooku with Comali Season 2 on Vijay TV in 2021. She later appeared in the web series Parachute and the film Valli Mayil, while also co-managing the YouTube channel Theatre D, known for its historical storytelling content. Kani is married to director Thiru Krishnamoorthy and they have two daughters. In 2025, she entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9.
