Kaushal Prasad Manda (కౌశల్ మందా) is an Indian actor, model, filmmaker, and entrepreneur born on 13 May 1981 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He started his career as a child artist at the age of four, winning the National Best Child Artist Award for his first drama. He completed his B.Tech from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam in 2003. During his school days, he was an active badminton player. He later trained in acting at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute, Mumbai, and completed a crash course in direction from the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. At age 17, he debuted as a professional model and went on to work as an ad filmmaker, fashion choreographer, and event designer. In 1998, he was one of the Top 7 finalists at the Grasim Mr. India contest in Delhi. He founded The Looks Productions, a model management and brand promotional company, and has directed over 10,000 television commercials and print campaigns for brands including Grasim, Bajaj, Tide, Sony Music, Airtel, Coca-Cola, and Aditya Music. In television, he appeared in serials including Chakravakam (Zee Telugu, 2013 Best Actor Award) and anchored the dance reality show Dance Baby Dance on Gemini TV. He has appeared in 84 films across Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada industries in supporting and character roles, including in the films Raja Kumarudu, Comedy Express, Anaganaga Oka Aranyam, and O Manjula Katha. In June 2018, he entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2 (hosted by Nani on Star Maa at Annapurna Studios, Hyderabad). From the very first week he faced a targeted campaign by multiple housemates. This galvanised Telugu audiences into forming the Kaushal Army — a massive fanbase that voted out every contestant who targeted him. On 30 September 2018, he was declared the winner after 112 days, receiving the trophy from host Venkatesh. He donated the entire ₹50 lakh prize to cancer research in memory of his mother, who had died of cancer. Post-show, he started the Kaushal Army Foundation (KAF) for charitable work. He later appeared in the web series Virgin Boys (2024).
