Kunickaa Sadanand (कुनिक्का सदानंद) is an Indian film and television actress, advocate, producer, and social activist born on 27 February 1964 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She comes from a diverse cultural background — her father, Manjunath Sadanand, was a South Indian member of the Indian Air Force, and her mother Kalyani was Punjabi-English with Scottish heritage. Her siblings include filmmaker Kabir Sadanand and fashion designer Shivani Tijori. She began her acting career in television in Delhi before moving to Mumbai. Her Bollywood debut came in the 1988 horror film Kabrastan, and she went on to appear in over 110 films, becoming one of the most recognisable character actors of the 1990s with roles in Beta, Khiladi, Gumraah, Karan Arjun, Koyla, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, and many others. On television, she is known for the cult serial Swabhimaan. In 2025, she completed an LLB and LLM in Human Rights from the University of Mumbai and actively practises law. She entered Bigg Boss 19 in August 2025, finishing ninth overall. She was also offered Bigg Boss 2 but declined to focus on her young son.
