Manichandra (மணிச்சந்திரா), known by his full name Mani Chandra, is an Indian dancer, choreographer, and actor born on 16 June 1994 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He grew up in Bengaluru and later relocated to Chennai to build his career in the Tamil entertainment industry. His father is Ramesh Chandra and his mother is Shobha Chandra. He made his television debut as a contestant on Maanada Mayilada Season 10 (Kalaignar TV, 2015) and went on to compete in Kings of Dance Season 1 (Vijay TV), reaching the semi-finals. His biggest early breakthrough came when he won Jodi Season 9 (Vijay TV, 2016–2017) partnered with Felina Lobo. He subsequently built a thriving career as a choreographer, working on Vijay TV's flagship shows including Super Singer Season 6, Super Singer Junior Season 6, Cooku with Comali Seasons 1 and 2, and Dance vs Dance Season 1. He made his Tamil film debut as an actor in Kudimahaan (2023). That same year, he participated in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7, where his charm, dance skills, and emotional authenticity won over audiences. He finished as the first runner-up on 14 January 2024. He is close friends with fellow contestant Raveena Daha.
