Narendra Babu Sharma, popularly known as Brahmanda Guruji, is an Indian televangelist, astrologer, spiritual guru, actor, and television anchor from Bengaluru, Karnataka. He holds a graduate degree in Electronics and a postgraduate degree (with highest honours) from an Indian university, and is also reported to hold a doctorate from Allahabad University. He launched his media career as a junior artist in several Kannada films before finding his true calling as a television spiritual personality. His breakthrough came when he began presenting the astrological and religious programme Brahmanda on Kasturi TV, which went on to air - under various names including Bhavya Brahmanda and Bruhath Brahmanda - across multiple Kannada channels including Suvarna, Zee Kannada, and Suvarna News. The programme, blending astrology, religious discourse, and spiritual guidance, made him a household name in Karnataka, where he is regarded as a godman and spiritual guide by a large devoted following. He also conducts puja and spiritual programmes through his Sampoorna Varamahalakshmi Welfare Trust. In March 2013, he entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 1 on ETV Kannada - the first and most watched reality show appearance by a prominent Kannada spiritual personality - and competed across all 98 days to finish as the third runner-up (fourth place) on 30 June 2013. His Bigg Boss appearance made him a genuine household name across Karnataka beyond his already-established audience.
