Pooja Ramachandran (పూజా రామచంద్రన్) is a South Indian actress, model, and video jockey of Malayali heritage, born on 22 March 1984 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, to a family originally from Tamil Nadu. Her father Ramachandran is a retired Indian Army officer and her mother is a homemaker. She first featured in an advertisement at the age of eight and grew up in Bengaluru. She studied Visual Communication at CSI Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, where she began modelling and beauty pageant competitions. She won the Miss Coimbatore 2004 title and finished as first runner-up at Miss Kerala 2005. She became a Video Jockey at SS Music before transitioning to acting. Her acting debut came with a cameo in Jayaram and Soundarya's Malayalam film Yathrakarude Sradhakku, followed by her first lead appearance in the Hyderabadi Hindi film Family Pack (2011). Her Telugu debut was in 040 (2011), and she subsequently appeared in Love Failure (2012), Swamy Ra Ra (2013, with Nikhil Siddhartha), Mosagallaku Mosagadu, Adavi Kaachina Vennela, Dohchay, Tripura, Dalam, and Marala Telupana Priya. Her last theatrical release before entering Bigg Boss was Nani's Krishnarjuna Yuddham (2018, as Nikki). She also made her Kannada debut in Singam 3 and acted in Malayalam and Kannada films. In July 2018, she entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2 as the first wildcard contestant (Week 7). She was evicted in Week 11, finishing eleventh overall.
