Prajin Padmanabhan (birth name Praveenkanth) is an Indian actor and former Video Jockey born on 6 September 1983 in Kozhikode, Kerala. He completed his schooling at Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School and graduated from D.G. Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam, Chennai. He began his career as a VJ on Sun Music before transitioning to acting, making his Tamil film debut in Dishyum (2006). His major breakthrough came with the lead role in the Vijay TV serial Chinna Thambi (2017–2019), which made him a household name. He has also appeared in Tamil and Malayalam films including Manal Nagaram and Pazhaya Vannarapettai (2016). He is married to actress Sandra Amy (October 2008) and they have twin daughters, Mithra and Rudhra (born March 2019). In 2025, he and Sandra entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 as the first real-life couple wildcards in the show's Tamil franchise history.
