Bio
Raageshwari Loomba is an Indian singer, actress, and mindfulness speaker born on 25 July 1977. She attended Auxilium Convent High School. Her father is a well-known music composer, and she was introduced to music as a child through his work. She completed her education in India before later relocating to London, where she married Lord Bhupinder Singh Loomba (an international anti-child widowhood campaigner) in 2013, becoming Lady Raageshwari Loomba. She has one son. She made her acting debut as a teenager in the Bollywood film Aankhen (1993) and appeared in Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994) and Zid (1994). Her music career produced popular album tracks and her song Piya Basanti Re became a widely known Hindi romantic number. In 1999, she signed a promotional deal with Coca-Cola for concerts across India. In 2000, she was diagnosed with Bell's palsy — which caused the left side of her face to be temporarily paralysed and affected her speech — while already suffering from malaria during a music video shoot. She rehabilitated through physiotherapy, electrical stimulation, and yoga over more than a year, an experience that profoundly shaped her subsequent advocacy for wellness, mindfulness, and resilience. She has since built an international speaking career as a motivational and mindfulness speaker. In October 2011, she entered Bigg Boss 5 on Colors TV as one of the original contestants. She was eliminated in Week 3 (Day 20), finishing fifteenth.
