Ravi Belagere (born 9 July 1958) is a veteran Kannada journalist, author, and political commentator from Bengaluru, Karnataka. He is one of Karnataka's most controversial and celebrated media personalities, known for his fearless, confrontational journalism. In 1989, he founded Agni, a Kannada crime tabloid that became one of Karnataka's most-read publications, followed by the launch of Hai Bangalore. Sudeep, the Bigg Boss Kannada host, praised him on the launch night as 'the Amitabh Bachchan of Sandalwood' for his cultural influence. Ravi also recalled that Colors Kannada chief Parameshwar Gundkal had once approached him for a job — which Ravi had declined — calling it a proud memory on launch night. He has authored over 100 books spanning crime investigations, politics, history, Kannada culture, and biographies. His daughter Bhavana Belagere was also a Bigg Boss Kannada contestant, making Ravi one of the few fathers of former contestants to enter the same show. He entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 7 as the 3rd contestant introduced on launch night, accompanied by his daughter Bhavana. He voluntarily walked out of the house on Day 14 (Week 2), becoming the first voluntary exit of the season. He finished 20th (last) overall.
