Rithu Manthra, also known as Ritu Mantra, is an Indian model, actress, and singer born on 7 September 1994 in Kannur, Kerala. She lost her father when she was very young and was raised solely by her mother, who remains her greatest inspiration. She is an only child. She completed her graduation in Journalism and Literature from Don Bosco College, Kannur, and pursued her post-graduation in Bangalore. She began her modelling career with print shoots and TV commercials, an irony being that she was body-shamed for her height during her school and college years - yet it was her height that landed her very first modelling assignment. She was featured on the covers of ADCOM magazine (November 2016) and FWD Vivah magazine (January 2017). In 2018, she represented Kerala in the Femina Miss India beauty pageant and won the fbb Miss Talented sub-title. She has walked the ramp at Lulu Fashion Week, International Fashion Fest, and The Indian Luxury Expo. As an actress she has appeared in small roles in Malayalam films King Liar (2016), Role Models (2017), Red Green Blue (2018), Kumbarees (2019), Uyare (2019), Thuramukham (2021), and Operation Java (2021). She is also a talented singer - in 2021 she posted a cover of the Tamil song 'Vaseegara', which caught the attention of Bollywood actor R. Madhavan, who reshared it on his social media with praise. She entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 3 on 14 February 2021. She was appointed as the last Captain of the season in Week 13. She finished seventh in the finale on 1 August 2021.
