RJ Ananthi (full name Ananthi Iyappan) is a Tamil actress, radio jockey, podcaster, anchor, and booktuber born on 19 August 1991 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She completed her schooling in Chennai and earned a BSc in Design and Visual Communication from PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. She began her media career in March 2011 at Suryan FM 93.5 in Coimbatore, and moved to 92.7 BIG FM Chennai in 2013, where she became one of Tamil Nadu's most recognised radio voices over six years. She transitioned to television anchoring in 2013 at Pudhuyugam TV. Her acting career began with the short film Ctrl Z (2016) before notable roles in Comali (2019, as Divya Mani), Bigil (2019, as a commentator alongside Vijay), Dharala Prabhu (2020), Soorarai Pottru (2020), Netrikann (2021, as Renuka alongside Nayanthara), D Block (2022, as Manimegalai), and Nanban Oruvan Vantha Piragu (2024). She runs the YouTube channels 'Reel Anthu Pochu' and 'Why Blood Same Blood', and is a passionate booktuber and podcaster. In October 2024, she entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 and served as House Captain in Week 3. She was evicted in a double eviction in Week 9 (Day 62) alongside Sachana Namidass, finishing 17th overall.
