Samrat Reddy (సమ్రాట్ రెడ్డి), born Guduru Venkata Satya Krishna Reddy, is an Indian actor, model, and cricketer born on 6 April 1983 in Hyderabad, Telangana. His father G. Jeevith Reddy is a businessman who harboured a passion for cinema and used to take a young Samrat to shooting locations, which sparked his love of acting. His mother is G. Jaya Reddy, and he has two elder sisters, Sahitya Reddy and Shilpa Reddy (winner of Mrs India Beauty Pageant 2004). He attended St. Patrick's High School, Secunderabad, and earned a B.A. in Film Making and Television Production. He made his acting debut in Yuvakudu (2004, dir. Sai Venkat) and went on to build a filmography spanning over two decades, with notable appearances in Vinayakudu (2008), Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam (2009), Panchakshari (2010), Aha Na Pellanta (2011), Malini & Co. (2015), Kittu Unnadu Jagratha (2017), W/o Ram (2018), and Dheera. He played for Telugu Warriors in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) as a core bowler, representing the Telugu film industry. He married K. Harshita Reddy in 2015; their relationship subsequently ended in legal separation and an FIR was filed by Harshita against Samrat in connection with alleged harassment. In June 2018, he entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2 and became one of the season's most prominent personalities, forming close bonds with Deepti, Tanish, and Geetha Madhuri. He finished as the fifth-place finalist on 30 September 2018, earning praise from audiences for his calm sportsmanship.
