Sandeep, popularly known as Aata Sandeep (born 17 June 1984 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh - raised in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh), is an Indian dance choreographer, actor, and social media influencer who works in the Telugu film and television industry. He attended Sri Rama Krishna Public School, Shantinagar, Kakinada, and moved to Hyderabad with his parents after completing schooling, choosing a dance course over a B.C.A. degree, a decision that defined his career. He rose to fame by winning the first season of Zee Telugu's dance reality show Aata (2007) alongside partner Tina Sadhu, after which his fans began calling him 'Aata Sandeep' - a prefix he subsequently adopted as his professional name. His mentors in dance include choreographer K. Sivasankar. He established himself as a top Telugu choreographer, working on films including Leader (2010), Pawanism (2014), Jagannatakam, and InduVadana (2022). He also founded the Sandeep Steps Dance Academy in Hyderabad, which has conducted over 150,000 performances and offers classes in Bollywood, Jazz, Hip Hop, and other dance forms. He has over 2 million Instagram followers and a YouTube channel with over 1 million subscribers. He is married to actress and choreographer Jyoti Raj and has a son named Lekhan. In 2023, he participated in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 7, where he was evicted in Week 8 after 55 days in the house.
