Sanjana Anne (సంజన అన్నే), born Vanaja Sai Sanjana Chowdhary, is an Indian model and aspiring actress born on 3 June 1991 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, and raised in Hyderabad. Her father Adhr Chowdhary and mother Sudha Chowdhary belong to a middle-class Telugu family; she has two sisters, Silpa and Siri Chowdhary, and a brother Rajesh Chowdhary. She completed her schooling and graduation in Hyderabad, where she subsequently built a career in fashion modelling and beauty pageants. She cites Aishwarya Rai as her inspiration for pursuing modelling. She participated in and won several pageants including Miss Queen Hyderabad 2016 and Miss Golden Global 2017, and was also a finalist in the Femina Miss India 2018 competition. Prior to her appearance on Bigg Boss, she gave an interview to a web channel (which went viral during the show) in which she spoke fearlessly about how she had physically confronted and publicly shamed a film director who approached her with casting couch demands, bringing her brother and sister along to make clear she would not tolerate such behaviour. In June 2018, she entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2 as the 15th contestant — one of three commoner entries. She was nominated for eviction in the very first week and was the first contestant to be evicted from the show, leaving on Day 6 (Week 1), finishing eighteenth and last overall. Following her eviction, wildcard entrant Nandini Rai immediately entered the house the same night.
