Bio
Seema Parihar is an Indian former dacoit, politician, and actress born on 1 January 1970 in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, into a poor Thakur family. At the age of 13, she was kidnapped from her village of Bawine, Uttar Pradesh, in 1983 by dacoits Lala Ram and Kusuma Nain, becoming a dacoit herself. She was subjected to rape and forced to marry dacoit Nirbhay Singh Gujjar in 1986; she later returned to Lala Ram's gang. After Lala Ram was killed in a police encounter in 2000, she rose to become the leader of his gang. Over her nearly 17 years of banditry in the Chambal ravines, she was accused of approximately 70 murders, 200 kidnappings for ransom, and looting 30 houses. Inspired by Phoolan Devi — the original 'Bandit Queen' — she surrendered to UP Police in June 2000. She subsequently pursued politics, contesting the 2007 Lok Sabha by-election from Mirzapur Badhi under the Indian Justice Party and later aligning with the Lok Janshakti Party and the Samajwadi Party. She filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court — initially rejected — to obtain special permission to appear on Bigg Boss 4 while still awaiting trial on 14 remaining criminal charges. She starred as herself in the Hindi film Wounded – The Bandit Queen (2007), which won the Critics Award at the Leicester Expo Bollywood film festival. She entered Bigg Boss 4 in October 2010 and was evicted on Day 76 (Week 11), finishing 7th overall.
