Snehlata Vasaikar (full name Snehlata Girish Vasaikar) is a Marathi actress and model born on 25 April 1988 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She grew up in the western suburbs, attending Saraswati Mandir school in Jogeshwari and Shree Ekveera Vidyalaya in Kandivali, and completed her college education at Sathaye College. She is married to Marathi film director Girish T. Vasaikar and they have a daughter, Shaurya. She began her acting career with the Zee Marathi comedy show Fu Bai Fu (2011), followed by serials including Eka Peksha Ek Jodicha Mamla (2012), Laxmi vs Sarswati (2012), and Chandrakant Chiplunkar Seedi Bambawala (2014). She made her Hindi film debut with a role as Bhanu in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani (2015). Her career-defining role came as the complex, tragic Soyarabai Saheb - Sambhaji Maharaj's wife - in the Zee Marathi historical epic Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji (2017-2019), for which she received wide acclaim. She subsequently played Gautamabai in Sony TV's Punyashlok Ahilyabai (2021-2022) and debuted in OTT content with the web series Anuradha (2021). In October 2022, she entered Bigg Boss Marathi Season 4 as the first wildcard contestant on Day 28 (Week 4) and was granted immunity for her entry week. She was evicted in Week 10 (Day 70), finishing 10th overall.
