Sunny Leone (born Karenjit Kaur Vohra on 13 May 1981 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada) is an Indian-Canadian actress, model, television host, and entrepreneur of Punjabi Sikh heritage. Her parents immigrated to Canada from India; she subsequently spent portions of her childhood in Fort Gratiot, Michigan, and Lake Forest, California. She attended high school in the United States before launching a career in adult entertainment, becoming the Penthouse Pet of the Month (March 2002), then Penthouse Pet of the Year (2003). She became a contract star with Vivid Entertainment and built an international profile in adult entertainment over several years. In November 2011, she entered Bigg Boss 5 on Colors TV as one of its most talked-about wildcard contestants, entering the house on Day 50 after Vida Samadzai's exit. Her arrival on the show generated extraordinary national conversation about identity, redemption, and culture. Shortly after her Bigg Boss stint, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Pooja Bhatt cast her in the Bollywood erotic thriller Jism 2 (2012) alongside Randeep Hooda — her Indian mainstream acting debut. She also starred in the Kannada film Veerame Vaagai Soodum (2022). She hosted multiple seasons of MTV Splitsvilla and MTV Webbed. She founded the cosmetics brand Star Struck by SL (now available across India) and an intimate wear brand. She married American musician and producer Daniel Weber in 2011; they have three children — adopted daughter Nisha (2017) and twin sons Noah and Asher (born 2018). She finished sixth in Bigg Boss 5, eliminated in Week 13 of the season.
