Suyyash Rai (सुय्यश राय) is an Indian television actor and singer born on 24 March 1989 in Chandigarh, Punjab. He made his television debut after his first public appearance at the Chandigarh auditions of MTV Roadies 5.0. He built his acting career in Hindi television, starting with the supernatural drama Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani (Colors TV) as Neil Khurana, then appearing in Kya Hua Tera Vaada, Kaisa Yeh Ishq Hai... Ajab Sa Risk Hai, and Phir Bhi Na Maane...Badtameez Dil (Star Plus). His most prominent role was as Abhay in Sony TV's Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya (2017–2018). He also captained the Delhi Dragons cricket team to victory in the inaugural Box Cricket League (Sony TV, 2014). As a singer he released the song 'Khushnuma' (2014, with girlfriend Kishwer Merchant) and the solo track 'Yaadein Teri (Jeene Ki Duaa)' (2015). He met Kishwer Merchant on the set of Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, where they fell in love despite a seven-year age gap that initially caused concern among their families and friends. In October 2015, they entered Bigg Boss 9 as one of its Double Trouble pairs. Suyyash was evicted on Day 83 (Week 12), finishing eighth overall. He and Kishwer married on 16 October 2016; they have a son, Nirvair Rai, born in November 2021.
