Tharshika is a Tamil actress, model, entrepreneur, and YouTuber born and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She began her professional career in modelling, collaborating with brands including Prachu Prashanth, Sangeetha Makeover Artistry, Malgudi Designs, Jewelry Mart, and Sashby Sona. After building her profile through fashion, she transitioned into Tamil television. She appeared in serials including Pandavar Illam, Nachiyarpuram, Thendral Vandhu Ennai Thodum, and Thalattu (Sun TV, 2021) before gaining her most prominent role as Preethi in the Star Vijay serial Ponni (2023), which starred R. Sabarinathan. She won the Best Supporting Actress award at the Vijay Television Awards for her performance. She also participated in the dance reality show Jodi Are U Ready (Star Vijay, 2024) as the third runner-up. She runs the YouTube channel 'Vibe With Tharshi', and founded Yaakkai, a women's clothing brand, and Magic Spell Events, an event management company. In October 2024, she entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 and served as House Captain in Weeks 1 and 3. She was evicted in Week 10 (Day 69), finishing 14th overall.
