Vichithra Williams (விச்சித்ரா வில்லியம்ஸ்) is an Indian actress born on 23 December 1973 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, into a family with ancestral roots in Mysore. Her father, actor Williams, was murdered by robbers at the family farmhouse in Chellampattarai in September 2011, and her mother was seriously injured in the same incident. She has two sisters and a brother. She is married to Shaji and they have three sons, the eldest named Roshan Shaji. She holds a Master's degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling. She is trained in Bharatanatyam and is also a skilled horse rider. She made her debut in the Tamil film Porkkodi (unreleased) but came to prominence with Selva's Thalaivasal (1992), in which her portrayal of 'Madippu' Hamsa was widely praised. Her filmography spans Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films, with notable roles in Ratsasan (1994), Muthu (1995, starring Rajinikanth), Pokiri Raja (Telugu, 1995), Suyamvaram (1999), Charlie Chaplin (Malayalam, 1999), and Gandharva Rathri (Malayalam, 2000). She later appeared in Tamil serials including Maami Chinna Maami (lead role), Karthigai Deepam (Zee Tamil, 2022), and the Telugu serial Geetha Govindam (ETV). In 2023, she participated in Cooku with Comali Season 4 as a comali before entering Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7, where she was evicted in Week 14, finishing seventh overall.
