Vikas Bhalla (विकास भल्ला) is an Indian television actor, model, and singer born on 10 March 1974 in Ludhiana, Punjab. He attended Sacred Heart Convent School, Ludhiana, and Dayananda Anglo Vedic (DAV) College, Ludhiana, before pursuing his career in modelling and eventually television acting in Mumbai. He began his career as a model and made his television debut in the early 2000s. His most notable and long-running role was Inspector/ACP Karan Singh Rathod in Sony TV's beloved crime procedural CID — he appeared in 300+ episodes from 2004 onwards, becoming one of the show's recognisable faces alongside stalwarts Shivaji Satam and Dayanand Shetty. His other significant television roles include Arjun in Tera Yaar Hoon Main (Aaj Tak, 2002), Maayka (2008–2009, as Aditya Malhotra), and Kaala Teeka (2015–2016). He has also released music albums. In June 2015, he was briefly in the news after his then-girlfriend Aanchal Munjal filed a case against him alleging threats; the matter was subsequently addressed legally. In October 2015, he entered Bigg Boss 9 (Double Trouble) alongside his partner, paired together as a Double Trouble jodi. He was evicted in Week 3 (Day 20), finishing seventeenth overall.
