VJ Vishal (full name Vishal Rajendran) is a Tamil television actor, video jockey, and anchor born on 13 February 1997 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. He completed his schooling at A.V. Meiyappan Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai and earned a bachelor's in Engineering from Anna University. Though academically trained as an engineer, his passion for media led him to begin hosting on Velicham TV in 2017, followed by Vendhar TV. He worked as an assistant director on reality shows including Athu Ithu Ethu and Kalakka Povathu Yaaru? Champions, before making his acting debut in the Star Vijay serial Kalyanamam Kalyanam (2018). He went on to appear in serials including Aranmanai Kili and Thendral Vandhu Ennai Thodum, and achieved his best-known role as Ezhilan in the long-running family drama Baakiyalakshmi (2022). He also participated in Cooku with Comali Season 4 (2023). In October 2024, he entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 and emerged as the Second Runner-Up on 19 January 2025.
