Lopamudra Raut is an Indian actress, model, and engineer born on 7 October 1995 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, to Jeevan Raut and Ragini Raut. She has a sister, Bhagyashree Raut. She earned a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur — completing her technical education before pursuing a parallel modelling and pageant career. She participated in Femina Miss India Goa 2013 (First Runner-Up), which gave her direct entry to Femina Miss India 2013 (Top 24 finalist). She competed in Femina Miss India 2014, reaching the Top 5 and winning the Miss Body Beautiful subtitle. The same year she entered Miss Diva 2014, finishing in the Top 7. Her most significant international achievement came in 2016 when she won Miss United Continents India and represented India at Miss United Continents 2016 in Ecuador, where she finished as second runner-up — also winning the Best National Costume award for India, an accolade she had received three consecutive years. In 2018, Times of India ranked her fifth on their list of most desirable women. In October 2016, she entered Bigg Boss 10 on Colors TV. Her boldness, physical confidence, and strong opinions made her a consistently popular and talked-about contestant throughout the season. She finished as the second runner-up on 29 January 2017. Post-Bigg Boss she appeared in web series including My Girlfriend (2020) and remained active in modelling and brand endorsements.
