Shehnaaz Kaur Gill is an Indian actress, singer, and model born on 27 January 1993 in Beas, Amritsar district, Punjab, into a Sikh family. Her father is Santokh Singh Sukh and her mother is Parminder Kaur; she has a brother, Shehbaz Gill. She completed her schooling at Guru Nanak Public School, Beas. She began her entertainment journey as a model and YouTube personality, gaining early attention for her bubbly, candid videos in Punjabi. She debuted in Punjabi cinema with Sat Shri Akaal England (2017) and released popular Punjabi music including Shiv Di Kitaab, Tuada Kutta Tommy (a viral comedy song), and later Ghani Syaani with rapper Badshah. She entered Bigg Boss 13 (Colors TV, September 2019) and rapidly became the season's most beloved contestant — nicknamed 'Punjab Ki Katrina Kaif' by the internet, and later 'Sana' by host Salman Khan. Her relationship with Sidharth Shukla ('SidNaaz') became the show's defining storyline and one of the most celebrated celebrity pairings in Indian reality TV history.
