Delnaaz Irani (born 4 September 1972) is an Indian actress from Mumbai, born into a Parsi family. Her brother is actor Bakhtiyaar Irani. She attended J. B. Vachha High School, Mumbai, and graduated from Jai Hind College, Pune. She made her debut in Baba Sehgal's music video 'Ga Ga Ga Gori Gori' in the early 1990s and debuted in television with the show Commander (1992). She gained recognition as Kavita Vinod Verma in the Sony TV sitcom Yes Boss (1999–2002) alongside Ronit Roy and Suchitra Krishnamoorthi. Her best-known film role is the lovable Sweetu in Karan Johar's Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta. She also appeared in Ra.One (2011) and The Archies (2023). She met actor Rajeev Paul on the sets of Parivartan in 1993 and married him in 1998. After separation in 2010, their divorce was finalized in 2012. Both appeared on Bigg Boss 6 as separate contestants — a highly unusual and dramatic circumstance for the show. Delnaaz lasted 93 days before eviction, finishing sixth overall.
