Urvashi Dholakia (born 9 July 1979) is an Indian television actress born in Delhi, to a Punjabi mother (Kaushal Dholakia) and a Gujarati father, raised in Mumbai. She began her screen career as a child artist as young as five, debuting in the 1984 Bollywood film Babul, and went on to appear in several television series and commercials through the late 1980s and 1990s. She became one of Indian television's most iconic faces after being cast as Komolika Basu, the scheming villainess in Ekta Kapoor's blockbuster Star Plus serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2001–2008). The character redefined female antagonism on Indian television and earned Urvashi the ITA Award for Best Actress in a Negative Role five times (2003–2007). She also appeared in Kahiin To Hoga (2003–07) as Archana, and later in Chandrakanta – Ek Mayavi (2017–18) as Queen Iravati and in Ishq Mein Marjawan and Naagin 6. She became a mother to twin sons Kshitij and Sagar at age 19 as a single mother. In 2012–13, she participated in and won Bigg Boss 6 on Colors TV, defeating Imam Siddique in the finale on 12 January 2013. In 2026, she appeared in the competitive reality show The 50.
Her iconic portrayal of villainess Komolika Basu in the Star Plus serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2001–2008), for which she won the ITA Award for Best Actress in a Negative Role five times, and for winning Bigg Boss 6 (2012–13).
