Dinesh Lal Yadav (born 12 February 1979), popularly known as 'Nirahua', is an Indian actor, singer, and film producer from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and one of the most celebrated stars in Bhojpuri cinema. The son of Lal Bahadur Yadav, he grew up in a modest family and worked as a labourer and mechanic's assistant before breaking into music. He began his career as a folk singer and gained popularity through his Bhojpuri music albums. His first major hit song was 'Nirahua Satal Rahe,' which gave him his stage name 'Nirahua.' He transitioned into acting and became a powerhouse of Bhojpuri cinema with blockbusters including Nirahua Rickshawala (2012), Nirahua Hindustani (2014), Nirahua Chalal Sasural (2015), and numerous sequels. He has paired frequently with actress Amrapali Dubey to enormous commercial success. In 2012–13, he participated in Bigg Boss 6, initially entering in week 1 before being evicted and then re-entering in week 6. He spent a combined 30 days in the house before final eviction in week 9, finishing twelfth overall. He was also elected as a BJP Member of Parliament from the Azamgarh constituency in 2019.
