Anushree (full name Anushree Sampath) is an Indian television anchor, actress, and dubbing artist born on 25 January 1988 in Surathkal, Mangaluru, Karnataka, into a Tulu-speaking family. Her father is Sampath and her mother is Shashikala; her parents separated when she was young. She has a younger brother, Abhijeeth. She attended St. Thomas School, Bengaluru, up to Class V before completing her schooling at Narayana Guru School, Mangaluru. She later graduated from Mangalore University. She launched her television career as an anchor with the music show Tele Antayakshari on the Mangaluru-based Namma TV, then gained wider recognition hosting ETV Kannada's Demandappo Demandu. She rapidly became one of Karnataka's most sought-after and highest-paid television anchors, hosting major events including the Filmfare Awards - South, Celebrity Cricket League, TV9 Awards, and numerous Kannada industry awards. She won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Dubbing Artist for Murali Meets Meera (2011). Her acting career includes Benkipatna (2015), Madha Mathu Manasi (2016), Ring Master, Uttama Villain, and Uppu Huli Khaara. She also runs the YouTube channel Anushree Anchor with over 1 million subscribers. She is married to Raghu Shetty. In March 2013, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 1 on ETV Kannada. She stayed for 75 days before being eliminated, finishing sixth overall.
