Sanjjanaa Galrani (real name Archana Manohar Galrani, also known by the screen name Mahira) is an Indian actress and model born on 3 September 1989 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, into a Sindhi family. Her parents are Manohar and Reshma Galrani. Her younger sister is actress Nikki Galrani, who is married to Tamil actor Aadhi Pinisetty. Sanjjanaa is fluent in eight languages - Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Sindhi, Urdu, and English - and has trained in sword fighting, horse riding, and Acroyoga. She married Azeez Pasha in 2021 and the couple has two children. She made her film debut in the Tamil production Oru Kadhal Seiveer (2006) and the same year debuted in Kannada with Ganda Hendathi, a role that brought controversy and visibility simultaneously. She went on to build a pan-South Indian acting career across Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada productions - working alongside Prabhas in Bujjigadu (2008), and later appearing in the Malayalam blockbuster Drissyam alongside Mohanlal. Other credits include Take It Easy (2011), Yamaho Yama (2012), Sardaar Gabbar Singh (2016, with Pawan Kalyan), and the Dandupalya franchise (2 and 3). In 2020, she was one of several Sandalwood personalities summoned and arrested by the Bengaluru Central Crime Branch in connection with a high-profile drug case; she denied the charges. In 2025, she participated as a contestant on Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9, finishing as fourth runner-up. In March 2013, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 1 on ETV Kannada. She was the first contestant to be evicted from the inaugural season - eliminated in Week 2 (Day 12) - finishing fifteenth and last.
