Kavitha Gowda is an Indian actress and model born on 26 July 1992 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, into a Vokkaliga family. She completed her education in Bengaluru and began her career in modelling before transitioning to acting. She is trained in Bharatanatyam dance and is a classically trained singer, having won the Zee Kannada Sa Re Ga Ma Pa title. She made her television debut in the Tamil serial Mahabharatham (as Subhangi, alongside Amit Bhargav). She subsequently appeared in the Telugu serial Rajeshwari Vilas Coffee Club before gaining her most prominent television role in Lakshmi Baramma (Colors Kannada), which made her a household name across Karnataka. She made her Kannada film debut in Srinivasa Kalyana (2017) and followed it with First Love (2017). She was cast in Birbal Trilogy at the time of her Bigg Boss entry. She later appeared in Dwimukha (2022) and Huttu Habbada Shubhashayagalu (2021). In October 2018, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 6 as one of the nine celebrity contestants. Her strategy, strong emotional connections within the house, and wide fan support took her to the finale, where she finished as the second runner-up on 27 January 2019.
