Divya Suresh (also known as Divya Rao) is an Indian actress and model born on 17 March 1993 in Bengaluru, Karnataka, into a middle-class family. Her father, Purnesh Uruduga, works as a regional manager in Mysore, and her mother is Kusuma Manjunath Uruduga. She has two brothers, Darshan and Deepak. After completing her 10th standard, she moved to South Karnataka to pursue a graduation degree in Multimedia. She made her acting debut in Telugu with the film Degree College and established herself in the Kannada television industry through the serial Nanna Hendthi MBBS. She subsequently appeared in Kannada serials and films including Huliraya (2017), Face 2 Face (2018, in Telugu), Dhwaja (2018), Girki (2019), and Ranchi (2020). Her natural charm and relatable personality helped her build a loyal fan following across Kannada-speaking audiences. In February 2021, she entered Bigg Boss Kannada Season 8 hosted by Kiccha Sudeep as one of the original contestants. During the season, fellow contestant Shamanth Gowda publicly revealed a crush on her, one of the season's notable personal storylines. She completed all 115 days of the show, reaching the finale, and finished sixth on 29 August 2021.
