Anil Thatte (अनिल ठट्टे) is an Indian journalist and media personality from Mumbai, Maharashtra, widely recognised in Marathi media circles for his unconventional, maximalist personal style. A former journalist, he became known for building a colourful personal brand through his extraordinarily eccentric wardrobe - reportedly numbering over 1,500 garments and between 200 and 300 jackets - and for having his own photograph displayed on his car. He humorously noted during Bigg Boss Season 1 that he had never made tea in his life, and had spent the fifteen days before the show learning from his wife solely for the purpose of managing in the Bigg Boss house. He entered Bigg Boss Marathi Season 1 in April 2018 as one of the fifteen original contestants. On Day 1, in keeping with the season's format, housemates directly nominated him for eviction (Sai Lokur received immunity in the same task). He was evicted in Week 4 (Day 27), finishing sixteenth overall.
His flamboyant, idiosyncratic personal style - reportedly owning 1,500+ garments and 200-300 jackets, and having his photo on the side of his car as a 'personal brand building' exercise; memorable self-introduction on Bigg Boss Marathi Season 1 where he declared 'I am unique and there will never be one more Anil Thatte again'; being directly nominated from Day 1 on Bigg Boss Marathi Season 1 (2018); finishing sixteenth overall.
