Bhushan Kadu (भूषण कडू) is an Indian comedian, actor, theatre artist, and trained painter born in 1985 in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra - the Konkan coast region of western Maharashtra. He attended Aryan High School, Mumbai, and then Bhavan's College, Mumbai. During college he joined the theatre group Sahitya Sangam Mandir, after which he pursued theatre exclusively rather than a conventional job. He is also a trained painter who completed a course at the Sir Jamsetjee Jeejebhoy School of Art, Mumbai. He built his entertainment career through Marathi theatre, becoming known for his timing, mimicry, and comedy. His most celebrated stage performance was in the play Chehra Pheri, which won the Zee Gaurav Award in 2011. He gained national recognition on ETV Marathi's popular comedy reality show Comedy Express (from 2008 onwards), where he appeared in multiple seasons and became famous for his impressions of actors and public figures. In Marathi cinema, he appeared in Ek Daav Bhatacha (2008), Target (2010), Navra Maza Bhavra (2013), and Dagadabaichi Chaal (2015). He also appeared in the films Mast Challay Aamcha and Shyamchi Mummy. His wife Kadambari (his second wife), who had been introduced to audiences when she visited the Bigg Boss Season 1 house during a family special episode, tragically died of COVID-19 complications at age 39 in May 2021. They have a daughter, Prakirtha Kadu. In April 2018, he entered Bigg Boss Marathi Season 1, where he entered dancing to the Marathi folk number Rickshawala and did a spot-on mimicry of host Mahesh Manjrekar at the host's own request. He was evicted in Week 9, finishing tenth overall.
