Aroh Welankar is a Marathi actor born on 14 November 1989 and raised in Pune, Maharashtra. His father Nitin Welankar heads Welan Technologies, a Pune-based engineering company specialising in sound and vibration solutions, where Aroh also works as Sales Director alongside his acting career. He completed schooling at Karnatak High School, Pune, and earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from MIT College of Engineering, Pune (2011), where he met his future wife Ankita Singhvi. He began his career in theatre, performing plays including Du and Me and Uttunga. He made his film debut with Abhijit Panse's acclaimed Marathi drama Rege (2014), starring alongside Mahesh Manjrekar - the same actor who later hosted him on Bigg Boss Marathi. He went on to appear in Ghantaa (2016), Hostel Days (2018), and Brahm (2021). He launched the YouTube channel Rangaart in 2015. He received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his short film Kevada (2015). He married Ankita Singhvi on 11 December 2017 in a destination wedding in Mahabaleshwar; they have a son, Arjun Welankar (born 2021). He also appeared in Kabir Khan's Hindi biographical sports film Chandu Champion (2024). He first appeared on Bigg Boss Marathi Season 2 (2019) as a wildcard contestant, finishing 6th. In late 2022, he returned as a wildcard on Bigg Boss Marathi Season 4 (entering Day 57 in Week 9), serving as House Captain in Week 12. He was evicted on Day 94, finishing 6th overall.
