Anitha Sampath is an Indian news anchor, actress, and media personality born on 12 June 1992 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Her father Sampath is a government officer and her mother is a homemaker. She studied at Velankanni Matric Higher Secondary School and graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai. She began her media career in 2016 as a news anchor on Sun TV's 6 PM News and went on to host the talk show Vanakkam Tamizha (2017) and present news on News7 Tamil. She is a sought-after host for film audio launches, having hosted events for Sarkar, Kaala, and 2.0. Her acting credits are largely as an on-screen news anchor in blockbusters including Sarkar, 2.0, Kaappaan, Adithya Varma, Darbar, and Master. She is married to graphic designer Prabha Garan (since August 2019). She runs a popular YouTube channel, Anithasampath Vlogs, with over 700K subscribers. In 2020, she participated in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 4 and was evicted in Week 12, finishing 9th.
