Jithan Ramesh (real name: Ramesh Choudary) is an Indian actor and film producer born on 23 October 1982 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He is the third son of prominent Tamil film producer R.B. Choudary (Super Good Films) and elder brother of actor Jiiva. His father is of Marwari heritage and his mother Mahjabeen is a Tamil Muslim from Chennai. He studied at Gill Adarsh Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai, and graduated in Business Administration from DG Vaishnav College. He made his film debut with the Telugu film Vidyardhi (2004) and rose to fame with his Tamil debut Jithan (2005), which became a major box office hit starring Sarath Kumar. Subsequent films include Madhu, Jerry, Nee Venunda Chellam (2006), Madurai Veeran (2007), Pillaiyar Theru Kadaisi Veedu (2011), Osthi (2011), and Jithan 2 (2016). He co-produced Jilla (2014) starring Vijay, and more recently appeared in Route No 17 (2023) and Farhana (2023). He is married to Shilpa Choudary and has a daughter Toshna and a son Prishaan. In 2020, he participated in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 4 and was evicted in Week 10, finishing 12th.
