
Deepak Dinkar is a veteran Tamil television actor, anchor, and producer born on 15 September 1979 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He attended Gill Adarsh Matriculation Higher Secondary School and studied Economics at the prestigious Loyola College, Chennai. He began his career as a model during his college years before transitioning to television, discovering his love for hosting when an opportunity came to him somewhat by accident. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has played memorable roles in serials including Anni (2003), Thirumathi Selvam (2007), Thendral (2009–2015, as Tamizharasu — one of Tamil TV's most iconic portrayals), Arasi, and Thamizhum Saraswathiyum (2021, as Thamizh). As a host, he became famous for his distinctive laugh and energetic presenting style on Jodi Number One (Star Vijay) and Dance Jodi Dance (Zee Tamil). He is married to Sivaranjani (since 2008) and they have a son, Agnidh. He is also reportedly fluent in six languages. In October 2024, he entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 and was evicted in Week 14 (Day 97), finishing 7th overall.
