
Jacquline Lydia (full name Jacquline Lydia Y.S.) is a Tamil actress, video jockey, television presenter, and YouTuber born on 8 February 1996 in the village of Pannur, Thiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu. She was raised by her mother, Nirmala Stephen, after losing her father at a young age. She completed her schooling at St. Mary's Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai, earned a BSc in Visual Communication from Loyola College, Chennai, and completed an air hostess training course from Frankfinn Institute. She made her television debut in 2015 with the serial Andal Azhagar and rose to fame with her lead role as Thaenmozhi in the politically inspired drama Thaenmozhi B.A. — Ooratchi Mandra Thalaivar (Star Vijay, 2019). Her film debut as Shobi in the critically acclaimed Kolamaavu Kokila (2018) starring Nayanthara garnered widespread praise. She co-hosted Kalakka Povathu Yaaru? on Star Vijay and runs the YouTube channel 'Jack and Chill' (265K+ subscribers). In October 2024, she entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 and made history by being nominated every single week for 15 consecutive weeks — the highest in Bigg Boss Tamil franchise history — and also being the first contestant ever evicted via a task (the Cash Grab Run Task on Day 102), rather than through public vote.
