Sachana Namidass is a Tamil film actress born on 1 May 2003 at KMC Hospital, Kilpauk, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She is the daughter of Namidass and Sathya. She completed her schooling in Chennai and graduated with a B.Com (General) from SSS Jain Women's College, Chennai. She made her acting debut in the historical drama August 16, 1947 (2023, dir. N.S. Ponkumar) alongside Gautham Karthik. Her breakthrough came with her portrayal of Jyothi — the spirited adopted daughter of Vijay Sethupathi's character — in the blockbuster thriller Maharaja (2024, dir. Nithilan Swaminathan), which became a major critical and commercial success. The role earned her the Fab Star Iconic Award for Sensational Child Artist of the Year (2023) and widespread industry recognition. She has also appeared in Nanban Oruvan Vantha Piragu (2024) and is set to appear in upcoming Tamil films. In October 2024, she entered Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 as the youngest-ever contestant at age 21, entering the house first. She was immediately evicted on Day 1 in an unprecedented open nomination process announced by host Vijay Sethupathi — the same actor who played her father in Maharaja. She made a dramatic return as a wildcard contestant on Day 5 and remained until Week 9 (Day 62), finishing 16th overall.
