Syamala (శ్యామల), whose full name is Syamala Gollapudi, is an Indian television anchor, actress, and model born on 5 November 1989 in Kakinada, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. She completed her schooling and graduation in Kakinada. She began her entertainment career at age 17 by participating in a talent hunt show in Rajahmundry, which led to her first television appearances. She became a popular TV personality through serials including Abhishekam, Laya and Happy Days, Maa Voori Vanta, and Pattukunte Pattucheera. As an anchor, she is best known for hosting the popular show Lakshmi Rave Maa Intiki on Zee TV, as well as numerous stage shows, audio launches, award functions, and talk shows. She is noted for speaking pure Telugu without an accent. She appeared in supporting roles in the Telugu films Loukyam (2014), Oka Laila Kosam (2014), Gundello Godaari, and Intinta Annamayya. She is married to television actor Narasimha (whom she met on a TV serial) and they have a son. She was married at the age of 18, which she has said affected her early film career. In June 2018, she entered Bigg Boss Telugu Season 2. She was evicted early in the season but re-entered on Day 54 after receiving public votes. She was evicted again in Week 13, finishing eighth overall.
