Milkuri Gangavva is an Indian YouTuber and actress from Lambadipally village, Jagitial district, Telangana. Her exact date of birth is unknown even to herself - no birth records exist - with various sources estimating her age in 2020 at between 58 and 65 years. She dropped out of school after her first grade and was married off by her grandparents (her parents had died when she was very young) at the age of five. By the age of 26, she had four children - three daughters and one son, including one daughter who later passed away. Her husband, an alcoholic, used to physically abuse her; he has since died. She has eight grandchildren. For most of her life she worked in agriculture, cutting grass, ploughing fields, and rolling beedis (cigarettes) to earn money for her family. Her life changed in 2016 when her son-in-law Srikanth Sriram, a filmmaker, invited her to appear in his YouTube channel My Village Show, which uploads content about village culture and rural Telangana life. Her first major appearance was in the viral reaction video Village Internet Problems (2017), which attracted millions of views and turned her into an overnight internet sensation. The My Village Show channel crossed one million subscribers in 2019, and she received a YouTube Gold Play Button. She has appeared in numerous Telugu films, including Mallesham (2019), iSmart Shankar (2019), Love Story (2021), SR Kalyanamandapam (2021), Raja Raja Chora (2021), Godfather (2022), and Intinti Ramayanam. On International Women's Day 2020, she received the Women Achiever Award from Tamilisai Soundararajan, Governor of Telangana. She has performed at YouTube FanFest Hyderabad (2018 and 2019) and delivered a speech at the NASSCOM Foundation Tech for Good Summit 2019. She holds the Padma Mohana Award of Excellence (2019). In 2020, Gangavva participated in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 4, where her warmth and authenticity won her immense love from Telugu households. She voluntarily walked out of the house in Week 5 (Day 33) due to health issues, finishing fifteenth overall.
