Arjun Syam Gopan Kottayam is an Indian model, actor, and former national-level judo player born on 20 March 1997 in Kottayam, Kerala. Nicknamed 'Appu' by friends and family, he grew up in Kottayam with his sister Aswini Rajeev before relocating to Kochi. He completed his schooling at Gregorian Central School and his college studies at MES College Erumely, Kottayam, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. He represented Kerala at the national level in judo competitions and went on to build a career in modelling, winning the prestigious Mr. Kerala title. He appeared in print advertisements for The Chennai Silks and received the John Players Real Men Award in November 2023. His viral Instagram reels showcasing his body transformation and fitness journey earned him a dedicated social media following. In March 2024, he entered Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 6 as one of the initial 19 contestants and was selected as the season's first captain. He impressed viewers with his composure, fairness, and strategic gameplay throughout the season, finishing as the first runner-up on 16 June 2024. He also made his acting debut in the film Mirage.
