Gaurav Chopra is an Indian television actor and voice artist born on 4 April 1979 in New Delhi, India. He attended St. Columba's School, Delhi, and graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in 2000. He was in a long-term relationship with actress Narayani Shastri (2004–2010), and subsequently Mouni Roy (2010–2012). In 2018 he married Hitisha Cheranda; the couple has one child. He began his career with small television and film roles before his breakthrough in Uttaran (Colors TV, 2008–2015), the long-running daily soap in which he played the male protagonist Raghuvendra — a role he sustained across all seven years of the show alongside Rashami Desai and Tina Datta. He also played the lead in Sadda Haq (Channel V, 2013–15). His international credit includes Blood Diamond (2006), the Hollywood war drama set in Sierra Leone and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Connelly, in which he appeared in a supporting role. He has also worked extensively as a voice-over artist for Indian and international productions, and participated in Georgia's local edition of Dancing with the Stars. He appeared in web series including Love Lust & Confusion (Viu) and Fourplay (ALT Balaji). In October 2016, he entered Bigg Boss 10 on Colors TV. He was eliminated in Week 11 (Day 76), finishing ninth.
